You may remember that waaaaaaay back in March we launched our first Rural PR Academy, which was both exciting and terrifying at the same time.

Well, today we’ve launched our second one, which will run from October to March, 2019. It’s a six-month investment in your business which will teach you the basics of putting together a PR strategy, covering all levels of the media.

So what is the Rural PR Academy?

The Academy is designed to help rural tourism and food & drink businesses to create their own PR strategy in time for Easter next year, so that they can hit the ground running. It consists of six modules which break a strategy down and includes each of our PRinciples: traditional media, digital media, social media, collaborations and the ever important visitor experience.

Once you’ve enrolled, we’ll send you more details on what we’ll be covering each month.

How much does it cost?

There are three packages to choose from, depending on the level of support you’d like.

The Root package is £19 per month and includes all content and access to our Facebook group where you can connect with other people on the course and share stories/successes.

The Shoot package is £49 per month and also includes a 1/2 hour consultation with me every month to see how you’re getting on with the course and chat through any issues you might need more help with.

The Grow package is £99 per month and includes all this AND relevant journalist requests that come through, which we forward directly to you and you can respond accordingly.

How much time do I need to spend on the course each month?

As much or as little time as you like. Each month, we’ll set tasks for you that compliment the work we’re doing in the Academy. This course has been designed with tourism businesses in mind and runs over the low season when (hopefully) you have a bit more time to concentrate on growing your business. And with all courses, the more time you spend on it, the better your strategy will be.

What will I get out of the course?

As well as life-long skills, you’ll finish the course with a complete PR strategy for the high season, looking at what’s going on both in and outside of your business. Not only that, we compile a list of key dates every month that can be used to promote your business either as a PR campaign or just as a one-off social media post.

How do I sign-up?

You have until the end of October to sign-up to the Academy but if you’re still unsure, we offer a FREE 20-minute consultation for anyone who is interested in joining us. We’ll chat through the various options and which we think is best for your business. Please get in touch to find out more.
